our expertise service & repair |
| Let's face it: [stuff] happens!! -Painters accidentally (cough, cough!) poke ladders through glass windows. -The wrong window product was shipped. -The wrong window product was installed. -The wrong window hardware came with it. -The customer really wanted a door, not a window (oops!) -Golden Retrievers scratch-up doors. -Realtors need stuff fixed yesterday. -Unfinished interior doors were left in the snow for too long and warped. -I didn't know we needed tempered glass for a staircase. -It didn't get ordered. -It wasn't on the truck. -I didn't think I needed it. -I'm missing one. -They need it tomorrow, I don't have time to wait. -8' foot door? I though they said "6 foot 8" door?! A long time ago when with my father's company: we responded to a service call at a synagogue where someone had hit a golfball through the window...from the inside!!! Or who knows: maybe it's not so much an "operational" thing as an "aesthetic" thing: -You got this new fancy Lockset but you have no idea how to install it (and neither does your husband!). -You want all new screens put in. -The previous homeowner had a grille pattern that you'd really like changed. -You want to add art glass to a sidelight where currently there's just plain glass. -You gotta "put all your weight" on the Entryway to get the thing closed all the way. Like everyone else, we used to look at Service & Repair as a horrible exercise that you did because you "just felt bad" for the guy. But you know what? We have found this to be a great source for building a great relationship that almost always leads to other things. And so; we offer a whole litany of (and ever growing and non-inclusive-so-you'll-have-to-call-us-and-ask) services ranging from fixing someone else's mistake to modifying something that isn't working properly to replacing a component portion of a larger issue. |

| My windows (or doors) are letting in too much cold air in the winter. Leaky windows and doors can result in high energy bills during peak heating and cooling months. Maybe you have old "weight & chain" windows where the weight pocket void capture cold air, Brrrr! Maybe there isn't any insulation around the frame of the current window. Maybe the check rails don't line-up. Maybe the weatherstripping accidentally got painted over. Or torn. Or missing. My windows look hideous! Ha, Whattdya' mean?! They don't match the current "look" of the home? You don't like the color? You don't like the style? The existing product looks "cheap"?! My windows won't open at all. Was it installed correctly? How old is it? Was it painted shut? Did they ever open? Is it warped? Is it even the proper window? (We once found where a homeowner had a "double-hung" window installed sideways as a "slider window"!! Is that just not the most moronic thing?!!) My double-hung window won't stay open. Is there something wrong with the sash balances? If a weight & chain window: is the "rope" dried-out? Is the torque tension on the block and tackle counterbalancing mechanism within the jambliner properly set (eh? Huh, wuh?... Nevermind!). Do you have to use a stick to keep it from falling down? My casement window won't close all the way. Is the sash warped? Twisted? Corroded? Is the crank all goofy (technical term)? Is it rubbing up against something? Hardware broken? Is there gunk clogging up the track? My windows are difficult to clean. Do they have an easy "tilt-in" feature? Are they too clunky to attempt? Moisture is collecting on my window interiors. Do you have adequate household ventilation? Do you have "ladybugs" in-between-the glass? Do your thermopanes have that "dew" or "rainforest" shower in them? I'm tired of painting my window exteriors. Have you considered a non-wood exterior window type:like Vinyl? Or Aluminum? |
